Welcome to our website we hope you enjoy your stroll through our pages.

My name is Connie Shook and my husband Rudy and I together share a passion for the Coton De Tulear.   We have been happily married 18yrs with no children of our own.  My husband came across the breed by accident. To make a long story short, after careful research, going to a local show, meeting and speaking with a breeder in great length, we decided this was the breed for us.  We decided on a show quality female, not realizing we would breed, I wanted to begin showing as this would be a new experience for me.  After the arrival of our first coton and being introduced to the showring I was addicted.  Since then our coton family has grown.  We take great pride in raising quality, healthy Coton De Tulear puppies with sound temperments that exemplify the FCI standard.  We are a proud code of ethics breeder with the ACC www.cotondogs.com the USACTC www.usactc.org and the AACDT www.aacdt.com

We feel when deciding upon a breeder, that your choice is a breeder that belongs to one of the various Coton De Tulear Clubs.

We encourage anyone interested in the breed to research the needs of the Coton De Tulear thoroughly.  The coton is a companion dog, they love to be with their families being involved and included in the daily activities.  This breed does not do well left alone for extended periods of time.   They do adapt quite well to most situations.  I find mine to be great travelers as well as content just lying around watching TV.    Also, there are grooming requirements involved, especially if you plan on leaving your coton in full coat
Finally, after all the research, we encourage you to choose a breeder whom you feel comfortable with.  One that has a strong commitment to the health and welfare of the breed.  The relationship between you and the breeder should last the lifetime of the puppy.  The Coton De Tulear has a lifespan of approximately 16-18yrs.  Your new addition should bring you many many years of companionship, love and joy.
